Super 6 Timeline

December, 1990 - Six friends in Lansing, Michigan create The Super 6, the world's first Big Ten only fantasy basketball league. Hershey inked Iowa sophomore Acie Earl with the #1 overall pick at the inaugural Super 6 Signing Day. Truly a "keeper" league, three of the original Super 6 coaches, Rob-roy Nelson (UNC), Brian Wellwood (SBU) and Allan Gibbs (UH), are still leading their teams in 2009.

1995 - Dennis Mockler, the new coach on the block, leads Shawn Respert and the RMU Knights to their first title.

1997 - Coach Wellwood's SBU Crusaders raise their first championship banner, a co-title with UNC.

1998 - After (Jess) settling for three co-championships, Nelson Christian finally wins a banner to call their own. The Doves celebrate by also taking the inaugural Super 6 Tournament.

1999 - Coach Eric Shipman's Vaughn U squad earns their first regular season championship, sweep the Tournament, and unveil the league's first animated logo, the famous VU Meter.

2000 - Hershey tips off the millenium, and wraps up the Super 6's first decade, by claiming a 4th championship.

2001 - Coach Scott Slocum gets his first hardware as Oskee Wow-Wow grabs the regular season and tourney trophies.

2002 - Nelson Christian re-takes the overall regular season championship lead with their 5th.

2003 - Title number two for RMU!

2005 - Oskee Wow-Wow becomes the first team since 2000 to win two regular season championships.

2006 - Oskee Wow-Wow, back-to-back!

2007 - Superior Baptist raises its second banner.

2008 - Robert Montgomery U wins 10 straight to earn a co-championship with Great Lakes Christian.

2009 - Robert Montgomery U, back-to-back!
